Slippery Elm has a soothing, demulcent quality. When added to water it makes a pasty gel which soothes ulceration and inflammation. It binds and excretes toxins in the gut and the accumulation of sand. Making it an ideal herb for horses prone to colic. Combines well with psyllium to prevent colic in horses, as well as marshmallow.

Dosage: 15-20 grams with feed
