Chaste Tree Berries (Vitex Agnes Castus Berries)

Chaste tree regulates female hormones, increasing progesterone, relative to estrogen and has a calming effect. It is commonly used for premenstrual issues in humans. It can effectively dampen down fiery behaviour in mares coming into season and can be combined with chamomile to calm nervous or aggressive behaviour.

Warning: Not for use during pregnancy or during lactation as Chaste Tree has a direct effect on the production of prolactin. It should not be used in horses that are not fully grown and Chaste Tree should be used with advice from your vet. Available in the herbal extract glycetract or dried berries (fruit).

Dosage: 10mL of (glycetract) in the morning, or 10 grams of the dried fruit
